Here is a case study of printing on both the container and the lid of a "glass pot." On the container side, we printed "AB" from the special Abe printing company. On the lid, we printed a leaf pattern. The handle in the center of the lid is a protrusion, making printing very difficult. Even if printing is possible, it can become distorted. By experimenting with pad shape, hardness, and other printing conditions, we finally completed the sample product. A challenge to "shape limitations"! Printing is possible not only on wood but also on resin and metal.

Printing on a typical donut shape is generally limited to "printing on the top surface" when using pad printing. However, by innovating the materials (such as those serving the role of a stamp), we attempted to print "around the entire circumference." In the first process, we printed half, and in the second process, we printed the remaining half. We were able to print a full 360 degrees around the ring shape in two processes. We empathize with the thoughts and activities of Habiris Japan, which develops and rents sports prosthetics and hand tools, and we have decided to cooperate with them through printing. Since rubber is more difficult to adhere to compared to resin, we printed on areas less prone to friction during use, and because there are products with protrusions at the center, we selected several materials and conducted prototypes. "Pad printing" is classified as a gravure offset printing method when categorized by printing techniques, and it can be said to be similar to gravure offset printing. Ink on the gravure plate is first transferred to a soft, hemispherical or boat-shaped silicone rubber pad, which is then pressed against the substrate to transfer the ink from the pad. It is a printing method for curved surfaces.

Ink is placed on a pad plate (an object engraved with the design to be printed on a metal plate), and when scraped with a flat blade, the ink remains only on the design.
